A quick blog to give you an idea of the insides of Saint Sofia’s Greek Cathedral in Bayswater as seen in GoldenEye.

The establishing shot of the exterior is a chapel in Brompton Cemetery. You can see and read and see photos in this article here.

When Natalia arrives for her agreed rendezvous with Boris, she is seen outside Brompton Cemetery, but the inside where she is ambushed was shot at Saint Sofia’s Greek Cathedral in Bayswater. The church is at Moscow Road, north of Kensington Park. Closest tube stations are Queensway (for Central Line) and Bayswater (for Circle and District Line).

ADVICE:

The guys visited the church but emailed ahead to ask if it’s ok to take photos. The website for the church is here, and I would suggest anyone looking to visit the church purely to take photos might want to do the same for etiquette and to avoid disappointment.

These photos were taken by some friends in the community, Chris Wright of James Bond Radio, Marc Hernandez of On the Train Tracks of 007, and Frazer Lockley. My co-host Rob Smith forwarded these on to me.
