M arrives to her home at night in the rain, which was manufactured for the purpose of the scene. Her driver undoes the door and escorts her to her home, 82 Cadogan Square, Knightsbridge, London SW1. Once inside the home she finds a disheveled Bond who has taken the liberty of helping himself to a bottle of her Macallan. This sequence was shot on the 21st FEB 2012.

Bond’s unexpected appearance in M’s apartment was originally shot on November 16th & 17th (2011) on Stage A at Pinewood. After some reflection, Mendes reshot the scene on November 30th. Originally the dialogue resolved the relationship between the two characters, but Mendes wanted to still leave some uncertainty and tension between them. – according to Mi6 Confidential Special publication edition 08


A special rain-maker rig was erected in Cadogan Square, just a few minutes drive West of Parliament Square, to create an artificial torrential downpour. MI6 HQ.


82 Cadogen Square was also the former home of John Barry. John Barry is very well known to all James Bond fans. He provided the musical scores for the following 11 Bond films.


Barry bought it in 1983 when he was able to live and work again in UK following resolution of his tax affairs His family still own the house and it is now rented out. – Discussion.
