The other day I went down to Camden Locks to try and find the location in Spectre where Daniel Craig (Bond) and Rory Kinnear (Tanner) went to their temporary Mi6 HQ.

The SIS/Mi6 Building was attacked during Skyfall so has long since been out of commission for use. Although Bond will return there at the end of the film to save Madeleine Swann from being demolished along with the rest of the building.

In the boat, Bond and Tanner take a hard left with the Mi6 building in the background and go underneath an archway. I’m told that CGI was helped to create the environment. None of the Camden Lock can actually be seen in the final film.

I’ve asked Twitter if someone can tell me what is real and what is CGI.

I’ve also created a YouTube video documenting what it’s like down in Camden Locks.

To find the exact location within Camden Lock then head towards Regents Canal Towpath, and look for the Holiday Inn. The small archway bridge that Craig and Kinnear can be seen going under used to be white but is now painted red. It’s opposite the Holiday Inn. If you head to the Ice Wharf JD Wetherspoon you’ll have the best view of the bridge.

I’ve included a photo of Google Maps below to help you. The behind the scene photo is hard to make out, but you can find more at James Bond Info.

Closest location: The Southampton Arms – Craig pops in for a pint.
