The following words and photos are by Tie Another Day on Instagram. The exhibition ran for 3 days in Early October 2024 and Lindy Hemming was later seen at the 007 store in Burlington Arcade to take photos and sign the books.
Following the frivolities of Global James Bond Day yesterday, I was fortunate to be in London and was able to soak some of the atmosphere, in particular I made a very early stop at Maison Assouline to pick up the latest book James Bond Style by Assouline.
Whilst there I was able to view an exhibition of clothes and accessories from the Bond films. The display included:
Fiona Volpe’s light blue dress with the feathered scarf as seen in Thunderball.
Daniel Craig’s white tuxedo from Spectre.
Electra King’s outfit from the finale in Turkey from The World Is Not Enough.
Mads Mikkelsen’s black tuxedo from the casino scenes in Casino Royale.
Barbara Bach’s midnight navy blue cocktail dress from The Spy Who Loved Me.
Daniel Craig’s Royal Navy N.Peal tactical outfit from the end of No Time To Die.
The exhibition is in a wonderful space at Maison Assouline.
The book itself is very impressive, it is a holistic view of the style of James Bond in the films in terms of clothes and accessories. The book primarily focusses on James Bond, but does feature on several characters throughout the film. I am still reading through it, and is an ideal coffee table book.
