MI6 headquarters
Bond steals Q’s fishing boat and shoots out of the MI6 building landing on the Thames with Vauxhall Bridge behind him. From here you’ll head EAST. Closest TUBE is Vauxhall. Location: type.sorry.dock
Houses of Parliament
We see Bond and Cigar girl carry the chase East on the Thames on towards Westminster, past Big Ben the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Although the wheel would not have been hoisted into place until 3 months after shooting the sequence. Closest TUBE is Westminster. Location: dash.firms.skip
Waterloo Bridge
In an attempt to cut off Bond, Cigar Swerves into a glass structure purposely built for the film which was formerly the Waterloo Police Pier, since renamed the Tower Lifeboat Station. This is situated just on the Eastern side of Waterloo Bridge. Closest TUBE is Temple. Location: stock.scales.fork
Java Wharf
Cigar Girl manages to give Bond the slip, heading down Java Wharf. This is tidal, so the inlet could be completely dry depending on what time of day you visit. It’s worth noting that in real life, Cigar Girl would not have gotten far as it’s a dead end. Closest TUBE is Bermondsey. Location: mint.golf.exam
Millwall Outer Docks
Bond and Cigar Girl miraculously leapfrog into Millwall Outer Docks where the barrel roll is performed. You’ll recognize the glass nine-storey Telstra London Hosting Centre in the background. Closest DLR is Mudchute. Location: market.earth.wooden
Royal Victoria Dock
We’ve leapt incongruously again to Royal Victoria Dock where Cigar Girl continues her barrage on Bond, firing depth-charges, destroying a schooner in the crossfire. Closest Stop on the Elizabeth Line is Custom House. Location: wounds.farms.libraries
Glengall Bridge
Glengall Bridge
We’re back in the Millwall Outer Docks, heading towards Glengall Bridge. One of the more iconic moments of the sequence as the drawbridge closes, Cigar Girl and the Sunseeker narrowly squeak through. Bond however is forced to take dramatic action and plunges beneath the barriers, beneath the water line (adjusting his tie as he does so) and emerging the other side. Closest Tube is Canary Wharf. Trafalgar Way Bridge
Cigar Girl crashes through a landing stage and a police vessel blocking her path, causing a nearby yachting fuel station to explode. With no way through the wreckage Bond is forced to re-route and circles back north past Billingsgate Market. Closest Tube is Canary Wharf. Location: cute.juror.soup
Ornamental Canal
Bond swoops round the bend of the Ornamental Canal heading towards Tobacco Docks, drenching two wheel clampers in the process. He leaps like a salmon over two sets of steps before smashing through a canoe shed (built for production) and traversing Wapping Lane. Closest Overground is Shadwell. Location: bought.races.pans
The Historic Docklands Chatham
To join Bond in the next location you’ll need to drive over an hour east to the Historic Dockyard in Chatham. Here you’ll see him ‘drive’ between the Anchor Wharf Storehouses towards the Chain Cable Shed. Also filmed here was the fish market and restaurant both built for production, that Bond careers through. Location: fuzzy.claps.tapes
Trinity Buoy Wharf
Here at Trinity Buoy Wharf, Bond launches through a set table of figs and wine and lands back on the river Thames, successfully cutting off Cigar Girl who is forced to abandon her Sunseeker on the north side of the O2. Closest DLR is East India. Location: crate.spill.chief
The O2
The finale of the chase sees Cigar Girl escape in a Hot Air Balloon, conveniently poised for take off on the north side of the O2. Bond leaps from the Q-Boat onto one of the mooring ropes. When Cigar Girl shoots the fuel tank, Bond falls and crashes onto the roof of the O2 and tumbles down the side. Closest Tube is North Greenwich. Location: ever.lift.trips
TIP:
When you mention the name of the company O2 it should be O2 (with a capital O) and not o (lowercase) 2. O is also a letter, and not a zero.
