According to Flashbak,

Sean Connery left West Hampstead in 1962 for Acton. There he bought (for £9,000) and renovated the 12-room Acacia House on Centre Avenue, overlooking the local park.

This house was built at end of 19th century and the goldsmiths company were thinking of having it laid out for semi-detached housing, but the land was sold to the council instead and Acacia House became part of Acton Park.

Connery got burgled on 2 occasions. According to this historic article,

Shortly after moving in, and when he was in Spain filming, the house was broken into and goods worth £50 stolen by four young burglars, who were soon apprehended. It was a ‘hell of a mess’ the star later commented.

According to this video he also found an undetonated bomb in a wall left over from World War 2. In 1968 they sold the house for 13k which then became a spiritualist healing centre.

You can watch Sean Connery and his then wife Diane Calinto being interview by Will Bailey in Acacia House on YouTube. There he talks about humbly about the sanctity of his home in Acton,

‘The most important thing for me is space, and I have it here. I have a place to dress, a place to sleep, I have a place to wash, a place to eat a place to work all in the one house. I have one car and all the clothes I’ve picked up in the films I’ve been in.’

According to this article by Mid Century Bond,

In the basement he had a Russian billiard table.

You can see just a little bit of that billiard table in the second part of the interview on YouTube.

Elsewhere, the decor was what could be termed mixed, with no one style dominating but erring towards Victorian plus leather sofas, rattan chairs, and the odd pot plant. In the kitchen stood a Welsh dresser, with blue and white crockery.

According to this Instagram post,

The house was last sold in 2018 for £3.4 million.
